One day, I can be bargaining for spices and hand-woven rugs in the labyrinthine alleys of the Deira Souk, the air thick with exotic scents. The next, I might be sipping afternoon tea at the Burj Al Arab, marveling at the architectural marvel against the backdrop of the turquoise Arabian Sea. Living in Dubai makes exploring the region a breeze. One weekend, I can be scaling the ancient ruins of Petra in Jordan, and the next, I’m trekking through the majestic dunes of the Omani desert. Dubai’s geographical location makes it the perfect base for weekend getaways and regional adventures, allowing me to keep that travel bug satiated.
